During the break I didn't focus much on the actual drawing because I wanted to take a little break from it. I did still make art because I wanted to play around with charcoal more because I feel like I jumped into without really knowing what I can do with it. Since the main focus in my drawing are the eyes, I tried making a realistic eye with charcoal. That also helped me with trying to steer away from that cartoony look my drawings have right now. Now I know how I can approach my drawing in a more realistic way. After reading my midterm feedback I'm stuck whether I make my drawing abstract or realistic. I looked at the artists I was suggested to look at and one that really caught my attention on how I want to move forward with my work is Francis Bacon. His work is abstract but also has some realistic features.
